Bas-Relief Flower Castings
A bas-relief imprint of live flowers is a very unique peice of art, where the flower designs are raised slightly from a flat background surface, rather than fully three-dimensional. It is a type of sculpture using live flowers and plants casted in gypsum to create lasting memories.
Every bas-relief botanical is pressed into clay and casted by hand in my private studio in NH. They are handmade and there are no shortcuts, not factory made, not mass produced by molds. Each one is unique, authentically different, and a one-or-kind treasure.
